BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Eryk Giermak, born in 1964 in Gdynia, Poland. Completely self- taught, slightly stained with education in Gdańsk and Vienna. Currently living and working in Germany.
Since 1989 uses graphical software.
End of eighties of XX cent. – designed fashion collection for “GIUD”, organised fashion shows in Vienna and later Poland.
In early nineties designed theatre sets and costumes and work on the image for musicians.
Designs a wide range of interiors. Shops, restaurants, bars, cosmetic parlors, offices. Designs furniture and lighting systems.
In mid nineties started working on building development projects, housing estates, commercial buildings etc. all together six projects in Poland.
Beginning of new century – takes part in an extreme botanical project.
The project combines experiments in botany, genetics, engineering, psychology, sociology in an aesthetical and social context. The author doesn’t like to recall it as the other members of the project wish to remain anonymous.
Since 2002 works on the graphical project “Keep for future generations”. Starts his own studio where he deals with graphics, painting and sculpture.
Designs a number interiors for houses and flats, facilities and sacral buildings.
Currently dealing with widely understood design. Animates the whereabouts of the Creative Initiative Club “Imago”. Designs further collections.
